Women players refuse to take Nike’s short cut

The Daily Telegraph - - News -

Female tennis players left the new Nike dress in the changing rooms, choosing less revealing attire for the first day of Wimbledon.

More than 20 female players are sponsored by Nike at the tournament and were given a short-cut, floaty white kit to wear. But several, including British player Naomi Broady, chose to sport more modest whites. German Sabine Lisicki described the dress as “too revealing”.

An email sent by the manufacturer asked the players to return the dresses for alteration.
