Four killed by al-shabab car bomb in Mogadishu

A car bomb exploded in Somalia’s capital, killing at least four people and injuring more than 10 yesterday. The extremist group al-shabab claimed responsibility.

The car filled with explosives had been parked outside a restaurant near Mogadishu’s port.

The militant group has promised to step up attacks in the capital and elsewhere after the government recently announced a new offensive against it.
