Drinking responsibly
SIR – David Keenan (Letters, May 23) shouldn’t be too critical of his hotel guests when he finds that “complimentary tea and coffee bags have gone from the bedside tray even though the cups are unused”.
My wife and I tend to wash out the cups after a cuppa – even when staying in a hotel. Cameron Morice

SIR – I liked Richard Hodgkiss’s notion (Letters, May 24) that hotel guests will enjoy the removed tea and coffee at a later date while remembering their stay at David Keenan’s hotel – but what possible use could the laminated “Information about Stewards Cottage and Fire Procedure” notices be to the Japanese visitors who took them from my own B&B?
