Milkybar gets milkier to reduce sugar
The Milkybar is to become more milky as Nestlé reformulates the white chocolate bar in an effort to reduce the amount of sugar in its products.
The percentage of milk in the new recipe has increased from 26 per cent to 37.5 per cent.
Nestlé said the change would remove almost 350 tonnes of sugar and 130 million calories from UK public consumption, part of its pledge to remove 10 per cent of sugar from its confectionery portfolio by next year.
However, per serving the recipe will be just one calorie less than before and the amount of fat will not change.
