Russian gunman kills nine in drunken row
A man was arrested after nine people were shot dead in a drunken dispute at a weekend cottage outside Moscow, investigators said.
The attacker gunned down five men and four women after a drinking session turned violent in the village of Redkino, 70 miles from the Russian capital, the Investigative Committee reported.
“During the get-together there was a domestic dispute between the guests, after which the suspect left and then returned with a hunting rifle,” investigators said.
They said a 45-year-old Moscow resident was detained on suspicion of mass murder after survivors called police.
