8am Glasgow Central SNP majority 7,662 Labour’s until Alison Thewlis’s victory. Vital if party under Jeremy Corbyn can fight back in Scotland. Voted Remain by 71 per cent.

11.55am Halton Labour majority 20,000 Tories have little chance of beating Derek Twigg – so why a Corbyn visit? Voted Leave by 57 per cent.

2pm Colwyn Bay Conservative majority 6,730 Clwyd West was won by the Brexit minister David Jones. Voted Leave by 54 per cent.

5.45pm Watford Conservative majority 9,794 Tory Richard Harrington is set to benefit from ex-ukip voters. Unlikely Labour target. Voted Leave by 50.3 per cent.

7.15pm Harrow East Conservative majority 4,757 Labour keen to overturn Bob Blackman’s majority. Voted Remain by 52 per cent.

9pm Islington South Labour majority 12,708 Mr Corbyn’s neighbouring constituency of loyalist Emily Thornberry. Voted Remain by 71 per cent.
