Bank of England officials call for interest rate rise

Three Bank of England officials have called for interest rates to rise. Ian Mccafferty and Michael Saunders joined MIT professor Kristin Forbes in voting to raise rates to 0.5pc. The last time three MPC members called for rates to rise was May 2011, when inflation was above 4pc.
