Café Society (2016)
SKY CINEMA PREMIERE, 10.00PM ★★★★
Every once in a while Woody Allen uncorks a fine, vintage fizz – and his 47th film is such an occasion. Set in Thirties Hollywood, it follows Bobby (Jesse Eisenberg, channelling the director), a naive Jewish kid from the Bronx who heads west, hoping to make his fortune but who falls in love with his uncle’s secretary (Kristen Stewart, bringing a free-flowing naturalness to Allen’s chug-along dialogue).
