‘Gentle’ mosque victim died of multiple injuries
The 51-year-old man killed in the attack outside Finsbury Park mosque in London died from multiple injuries, a post-mortem examination has found.
Makram Ali, from Haringey, was married with six children and two grandchildren. In a statement, his family said they were “devastated” by the loss of their “quiet” and “gentle” relative.
They said he collapsed due to a weak leg before falling victim to a van driver who drove into pedestrians in the area, which was busy with worshippers. Nine others were taken to hospital.
Detectives continue to question 47-year-old suspect Darren Osborne.
