‘Syrian civilians killed in air strike on IS territory’

-

Activists have claimed that up to 35 people were killed in an air strike in eastern Syria yesterday. It was, they say, the second attack in three days to have killed civilians in the Isil-held Euphrates river valley.

Two Syrian monitoring groups said an unidentified jet attacked the village of Doblan. Russian, Syrian, and Us-led coalition aircraft are all known to operate in the area. At least 57 people died in a strike on an Isil-run jail nearby on Monday. Activists said that was carried out by the coalition. The coalition said it was investigating.
