Woman dies in shopping centre car park stabbing

A young woman has died after her throat was reportedly slit in an attack in a shopping centre car park.

A 25-year-old man from Rochester, who is believed to have been known to the woman, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police were called to reports of a serious assault at Dockside Outlet Centre in Chatham, Kent, about 11am yesterday. Four ambulance crews rushed to the scene where a woman was found bleeding heavily following the attack. Kent Police confirmed the victim, believed to be in her 20s, suffered injuries consistent with a knife assault, and died at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody.
