Beckham defends ‘inappropriate’ kiss as fatherly affection
DAVID BECKHAM has defended his decision to post a picture on Instagram of himself kissing his daughter on the lips.
The picture of the kiss with sevenyear-old Harper caused a heated debate online, with some critics saying the picture was “inappropriate”.
One wrote: “David, to kiss lips of your daughter that’s wrong,” and another said “to be honest kissing your daughter on the lips is a little weird”.
However, others said it was a charming display of fatherly affection. One wrote: “If anyone has anything bad to say about this picture they need to look at themselves. I think it says more about you than it does the Beckhams. There’s nothing but love here.”
Beckham said he was “very affectionate” with his children as that was how he was brought up.
