Warning over Fidget spinners that can cut

-

Fidget spinners sharp enough to puncture the skin have been discovered on sale in the UK, prompting fears that the new craze could lead to injuries among children.

The gadgets have become popular with youngsters and were found to be readily available to purchase on ebay.

The palm-sized spinners consist of a ball bearing that sits in a threepronged plastic device that can be flicked and spun.

Some of the designs on sale in the UK have raised safety fears, with a number failing tests after they were found to be capable of damaging eyes and puncturing the skin.
