Festival cancelled over walkways row

♦ A music festival has been cancelled after a row about walkways left thousands of fans queuing for hours.

Following a disastrous first day, organisers of Hope and Glory Festival, in St George’s Square in Liverpool, pulled the plug on the second day of live music.

Organisers took to Twitter yesterday, to post: “No festival today.” They said that fault lay with their production manager. The name and email address of the manager was published online, and organisers said the manager wsa responsible for a lack of bridged walkways and the site being incomplete.

The Daily Telegraph has contacted the promotions company and organisers for a comment.
