Sun belter

A stunning display of sunspots were captured by Nasa’s Solar Dynamics Observatory as the satellite passed on a 13-day journey across the face of the sun last month. The spacecraft documented AR12665, a 75,000-mile-wide area of intense and complex magnetic fields which produced several solar flares, a coronal mass ejection and a solar energetic particle event.
