Ex-priory boss to buy Bupa homes

Bupa has agreed to sell half of its care homes to HC-ONE in a deal that would make Chai Patel’s company the biggest care home operator in the UK.

Bupa appointed Bank of America Merrill Lynch last year to find a buyer for the 150 homes. The deal is dependent on HC-ONE finding financing of £450m in the next few weeks.
