Airline Qantas eyes non-stop flights

-

Non-stop flights from the east coast of Australia to London could be available by 2022 under plans mooted by the boss of airline Qantas. Alan Joyce said Qantas was also mulling direct flights to Paris, New York and Rio de Janeiro, thanks to newer, more fuel-efficient planes. The plans came as Qantas delivered its second-highest adjusted profit to date, of A$1.4bn (£862m) – 9pc below last year’s record A$1.5bn.
