US fund eyes pub chain Admiral

British pub chain Admiral Taverns could be snapped up by a US investment fund. According to reports, Admiral is in advanced talks with New York-based Proprium Capital over a deal that could be valued at £220m.

Admiral, which has an estate of about 1,000 pubs, is being auctioned by hedge fund Cerberus.
