Prom 62 brings some welcome diversity to the classical music world, as Europe’s first professional majority black and minority ethnic (BME) orchestra, Chineke!, make their Proms debut. Tonight, they perform a glitteringly varied programme which takes in Dvořák, Handel, Rimskykorsakov and a new work by young British composer Hannah Kendal, inspired by the poet Lemn Sissay’s energetic poem, The Spark Catchers.
