WH Smith hails travel store sales

WH Smith said its travel business had performed strongly over the past 12 months, as it became a larger proportion of the retailer’s revenue. The firm said its high street unit had performed in line with expectations. Over the past year, the company has seen a steady decline in high street sales, but solid growth in travel stores.
