Grafton dividend rises with profits

Building merchant Grafton hiked its interim dividend 11pc after a first half which saw revenue grow 9pc to £1.34bn and pre-tax profit 18pc to £74.1m. The building merchant said it expected recent softer trends in the UK economy to continue in the second half, but Ireland and the Netherlands looked set to boost revenue growth.
