Rats inflict 225 wounds on disabled girl in bed

A paraplegic teenager was attacked in her bed by rats which bit and scratched her hundreds of times.

The 14-year-old suffered 225 wounds all over her body in the attack in France last Friday. The girl’s father has filed a complaint against the landlord of the house in Roubaix and against the city, saying he had repeatedly asked for the removal of rubbish left in a nearby car park, a police source said.

An inquiry is examining “housing conditions contrary to human dignity”.
