Ac­tor Harry Dean Stan­ton dies at 91

Harry Dean Stan­ton, the ac­tor best known for his roles in God­fa­ther II, Alien and Cool Hand Luke has died in Los An­ge­les, aged 91.

He was cat­a­pulted to fame when he was given a lead role in Paris, Texas by Wim Wen­ders, a film which was awarded the Palme d’or at the Cannes Film Fes­ti­val in 1984. His other cred­its in­clude Twin Peaks, Pretty in Pink and Repo Man.
