Paraglider hurt after hitting B&B’S chimney

A paraglider was seriously injured when he smashed into a seaside bed and breakfast yesterday.

The airman ploughed into the chimney of Wellington House in Cromer, Norfolk, before crashing to the ground. The victim, who has not been named, suffered serious injuries to his arm and head in the incident just before 1.15pm yesterday.

He was taken to hospital by air ambulance helicopter. Police said the man’s injuries were serious but were not thought to be life-threatenin­g.

The B&B was damaged by the impact of the collision, but no one else was hurt.
