SIR – Clearly it is for America to decide at what point the right of some of its people to bear arms is outweighed by the right of others to live, and to do so in peace and security.

However, from where I sit, the atrocity in Las Vegas and other recent events suggest that the balance between the two has become seriously skewed.

SIR – How can a good man with a gun protect you from a bad man with a gun who is shooting from the 32nd floor of a hotel?

However, the gun-supporting President Trump has the answer: stop Muslims from entering the country.
