 This award-winning series of short documentaries and adventures in sound makes a welcome return to Radio 4 today. For the uninitiated: each half hour-long episode contains between three and five different segments, each one made by a different producer, and all relating to a central theme, with comedian Josie Long providing the links. Today’s opener is themed around stories that took their participants entirely by surprise, and is a perfect introduction to the show’s offbeat charms.
