Trapped on car for four days to avoid crocodiles
TWO anglers who were stranded in Australia’s outback spent four days atop their car after finding themselves surrounded by rising, crocodile-filled waters.
The friends were on a fishing trip to the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia when they became stuck in a tidal bog.
“They went through about six tides, which covered the vehicle on a number of occasions,” said local police sergeant Mark Balfour. The men were near the end of their water supply and in tears when rescuers arrived.
