Gallagher’s album cover was a special delivery – by his postie
♦ Noel Gallagher has revealed that the artwork on the cover of his new album was created by his postman.
The former Oasis guitarist and his band, High Flying Birds, released their latest record Who Built The Moon? yesterday. The cover has a woman, his wife Sarah Macdonald, against a mountainous landscape, and the artist was postman Gareth Halliday.
Speaking on Radio X, Gallagher said: “I came across his work and got in touch. If you’re listening, Gareth, which you’re probably not, probably in a sorting office somewhere, you’re a genius.”
