Four senior Catalan separatists denied bail

Madrid’s Supreme Court yesterday denied bail to four Catalan politicians and protest leaders who were arrested after the illegal Oct 1 referendum.

The court denied bail to Oriol Junqueras, Joaquim Forn, Jordi Sanchez and Jordi Cuixart. Six other former government members were granted bail at €100,000 (£88,000).
