Sales of diesel cars plunge after ‘demonisation’

The car industry has launched an attack on the “demonisation” of diesel by the Government after sales of vehicles powered by the fuel fell by almost a third. Diesel car sales plummeted 30.6 per cent to 61,730 in November according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
