The second Internatio­nal Mind Sports Associatio­n (IMSA) Elite Mind Games is taking place at the New Century Grand Hotel in Huai’an, China, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspond­ent. Following England’s medal winning performanc­e in the Venice Cup, the organisers invited three English women’s pairs to take part: Fiona Brown and Sally Brock, Catherine Draper and Nevena Senior, and Lizzie Godfrey and Nicola Smith.

In the Women’s teams, England finished second in the round robin. They lost the final to Sweden by 95 IMPS to 115. In the Open teams, France were winners, with China runners up.
