Insurers hand out free cameras to cut claims

Insurance companies are offering customers free gadgets as part of “smart home insurance”, which they hope will reduce claims.

Devices including door sensors and internal cameras, which connect to a mobile phone, are provided free by start-up companies such as Neos. And others are following suit. Amazon has launched a “smart lock” that allows people to let couriers into their home when they are out.
