E-cards are fun, cheap and don’t need dusting

sir – I use e-cards instead of paper ones (Letters, December 18) and think they are very good. Though you can’t put them on the mantelpiece, you do get movement and music that traditional ones can’t provide.

They are eco-friendly, quick and cheap; you can send as many as you like for the same flat fee, which is very useful if you have friends and relations overseas. There are already e-photo albums which can display your photos on a screen, and I expect in not many years’ time you will be able to put your e-cards on your television set and have them playing away.

No risk of fire or falling over, and no need to move them in order to dust.
