Woman took father, 93, on ‘holiday’ to Dignitas

A daughter told care home staff she was taking her 93-year-old father on a family holiday but then travelled to Switzerland where he ended his life at the controversial Dignitas facility in Forch, it emerged yesterday.

John Lenton, who was suffering from Parkinson’s disease, died three months ago after Sandra Holmes, 66, allegedly asked the home in Cartref Bryn yr Eglwys, North Wales, if she could take him on holiday. Police are investigating.
