Wife ‘posts’ breakfast in jealous rage

THE former wife of a football coach posted a full English breakfast through his letterbox in a rage over his new girlfriend, a court has heard.

Karen Hall, 40, had hoped to rekindle her marriage with James Hall, a coach for nonleague Macclesfield Town, after he insisted on a “break” after 24 years together.

But the mother-of-three flew into a jealous rage and launched a five-month campaign of harassment against him after he confessed that he had a new girlfriend.

Mrs Hall, a part-time shop assistant, wept at Stockport magistrates court as she admitted harassment, criminal damage and assault.

She was sentenced to a 12 month community order, ordered to complete 40 hours unpaid work and pay £170 costs.
