Jail for gang who faked Cameron licence
AN IDENTITY card gang used a fake driving licence of David Cameron with his photograph and address listed as 10 Downing Street to advertise their skills.
Dragoz Dragomir, 34, used the mock licence as part of a £1 million online scam involving hundreds of adverts for non-existent goods and services.
“Sample ID cards” and ID cards from Spain, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Poland and Romania were found when police raided a factory in rented offices in Enfield, north London.
At Blackfriars Crown Court, Dragomi was jailed for seven years and six months after being found guilty of conspiracy to commit fraud, conspiracy to money launder, possession of fake ID and possession of equipment adapted for making fake ID documents.
Ringleader Mihai Cirstoiu, 37, who masterminded the scam, and accomplices George Cerneanu, Georgian Alexandru Stanciu and Maria Bilici were also jailed.
