Queen advertises for groom at Windsor Castle

The Queen, who can still be seen regularly riding around the Windsor Castle estate, is advertising a job for a groom.

The permanent position has arisen as the castle ramps up preparations for the wedding of Prince Harry and Megan Markle.

The advert for the job, which has a £20,800 salary, posted on the Royal Household website, states that the employee would be a member of a “dedicated team responsible for all aspects of horse and pony care”, and that the position will also involve travelling and working at other royal palaces.
