‘Aggressive and intimidating’
MP attacks Corbyn’s aides
Labour’s shadow work and pensions secretary has accused Jeremy Corbyn’s office of bullying after she was asked to stand aside while allegations about her own behaviour are investigated. Complaints about Debbie Abrahams are said to have been made by members of her staff, but the MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth said last night that she refuted the “spurious” allegations “in the strongest possible terms” and was considering legal action. She said she would make a formal complaint.
“My treatment by certain individuals in the Leader’s Office over the last 10 months has been aggressive, intimidating and wholly unprofessional,” she said. “My treatment in the last week has shown a bullying culture of the worst kind.”
