Dead journalist’s source surrenders to police
A former Maltese-bank employee, who was a source for a murdered journalist, has surrendered to Greek police.
Maltese prosecutors filed a European warrant for the arrest of Maria Efimova, who left Malta for Greece facing an arrest warrant for suspicion of embezzlement.
Daphne Caruana Galizia, a journalist, named Efimova as the source of bank documents allegedly showing that the wife of the Maltese prime minister owned a secret company in Panama.
