Man caught ‘upskirting’ in Topshop was inspired by Youtube
A man who took “upskirt” images of women shopping in Topshop escaped jail after he told a judge he was inspired by Youtube.
Pratyayoud Tupchareon, 27, was seen by security guards in the chain’s store on Oxford Street following girls around with a long lens protruding from his rucksack. Westminster magistrates’ court heard that Tupchareon had shot a video up a woman’s skirt outside the shop.
Tupchareon claimed he was inspired by Youtube videos of “upskirting”, but told District Judge Elizabeth Roscoe that he had never posted a video. Tupchareon, whose father, Youdtana Tupchareon, is a member of Thailand’s parliament in Bangkok, and whose mother, Jutipon, is a judge, admitted outraging public decency and was banned from the City of Westminster for four months. He was also made to wear an electronic tag.
