Boots pharmacist stole steroids
A BOOTS pharmacist stole more than £6,500 worth of steroids because he wanted to become a bodybuilder.
Andrew Brown, 34, pleaded guilty to pocketing prescription medication over a 10-month period while working at various stores across Teesside, because an “online coach” said the drugs would help in his training.
Teesside magistrates’ court heard yesterday that Brown was caught after discrepancies were discovered in the ordering systems he was using, and CCTV footage showed him stealing a range of medication.
Brown, of Stokesley, North Yorks, pleaded guilty to theft of £6,546 worth of steroids between March 17 2017 and Jan 11 this year while working at Boots stores including Guisborough, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool.
