Self-control is the answer, say Tory peers
Britain’s obesity problem will not be solved unless fat people stop blaming others and exercise self-control, said Baroness Neville-rolfe, a former Tesco executive and Tory minister, during a debate in the Lords after Baroness Mone of Mayfair, another Tory peer, warned not to demonise poor families for the problem.
Lady Nevillerolfe said: “Obesity will not be tackled successfully unless those at risk can demonstrate self-control.”
Lady Mone accused supermarkets of “slowly killing the customers” and called for health warnings on some food products.
Lord Mccoll, another Tory peer said: “The cure is free: eat less.”
