I’d steer you away from heeled options as a nod to practicality, but if you can’t be deterred from the added height, there are a host of interesting heel shapes on the high street that could work in your favour in lieu of actual ankle support. Mango’s spherical heel (£59.99, mango.com) covers more ground than a stiletto or kitten would, and a cone heel (River Island has a chic suede option, £50, riverisland.com) would be sturdier to walk in.
