SIR – The actress Sierra Boggess has withdrawn from the role of Maria in West Side Story on the grounds that the role should be played by a Puerto Rican actress (report, April 25).

This makes me wonder where it will lead. Will a Dane be required for Hamlet in future? Pies Hubbard
