13 children killed after train hits school bus
At least 13 children were killed and five critically injured yesterday after a train collided with a school bus in northern India, an official said.
The students, all aged under 10, were being driven to class when the passenger train hit their vehicle at an unmanned railway crossing in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Kumar Singh, the district chief medical officer, said the bus was lifted several feet into the air, killing 10 children instantly.
