EU to monitor Zimbabwe voting

The EU says it will send observers to Zimbabwe’s forthcoming elections after an invitation from Emmerson Mnangagwa, the country’s new president.

Zimbabwe faces a historic election after the departure of long-time leader Robert Mugabe in November.

Mnangagwa has repeatedly pledged to hold free and fair elections as he tries to regain foreign investors.
