Silencing Mr Trump

SIR – It was very interesting reading the front page of The Daily Telegraph on Friday.

Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, was quoted as saying that if Donald Trump visited London he would “no doubt see that Londoners hold their liberal values of freedom of speech very dear” (report, April 27).

The next paragraph went on to recall comments by John Bercow, the Speaker, that President Trump would not be allowed to address either chamber of the Houses of Parliament during a visit. David Darnley
