Son, 22, arrested over murder of his mother

-

SUSSEX Police have detained the 22-year-old son of a beauty shop manager on suspicion of murder after her body was discovered by officers at her home.

Fiona Fisher, 51, was found in the village of Crowborough in East Sussex shortly after 7.30pm on Friday. Police went to the property in response to a request for a welfare check.

After speaking to Ms Fisher’s son at the scene, officers conducted a search of the building and her son was arrested on suspicion of murder when the body was discovered.

He has remained in police custody since his arrest, but has not been charged.

Crime scene investigators continued to work at the site yesterday.

Sussex Police have appealed for anyone with information about the crime to come forward, although they are not seeking any other suspects.

“There are no words to explain the love those around her felt for her, she is irreplaceable,” her family said in a statement.

“At this time we would please hope that everyone could respect our privacy and allow her friends and family to grieve.” Ms Fisher worked in Tunbridge Wells as an assistant manager for L’occitane en Provence, the French high-end health and beauty company.

She had lived in the £750,000 Crowborough property for 17 years, according to land registry records.
