Cambodian newspaper sale leads to walk-out

A newspaper regarded as Cambodia’s last independent English daily has been sold to a Malaysian investor whose PR firm reportedly had links to Hun Sen, the prime minister, accused of cracking down on independent media ahead of elections in July.

Yesterday, several journalists quit the Phnom Penh Post, saying that its new owner had demanded that a story regarding the sale be removed.
