Guaranteed hot tea on ward rounds

-

The Beverage Trolley was invented by Sunderland City Hospitals and Quality Hospital Solutions to serve a range of hot drinks to patients at the bedside using a portable boiler system. The machine, being used by five NHS hospital trusts, has been linked to patients staying better hydrated. It is part of a drive to improve nutrition, with recent figures showing some hospitals spend less than £3 a day on patient food. The Campaign for Better Hospital Food has called for minimum legal standards for hospital food.
